Callum Von Moger

Calum Von Moger was born on June 9, 1990, in the South-Eastern city of Victoria, Australia, on a farm. He has five siblings and his family-owned several types of animals on their farm which is one of the factors that influenced his love for animals.

Calum is a professional and award-winning bodybuilder, actor, YouTuber, and inspirational speaker. He is also a fashion model and a brand ambassador and has worked with global brands like Gucci. The versatile individual grew up as a regular kid on a farm and did not possess an impressive physique in his younger years, rather, he referred to himself as skinny growing up, as per the Charles Atlas advertising.

Moger is also an animal lover and has helped to rescue and provide shelter for animals affected by the wildfire in his home in California. Because of his profession, it seems as though everything about him is already public knowledge, but this may not be the case, as there are many things about him you probably don’t know, that we will endeavour to inform.

He remembers growing up fondly in family home that was very well organized (almost regimented). He recalls that every member of the family had very specific and disciplined routines. The discipline instilled in young Calum would help shape his life and career in later years.

His family made a move from Victoria to the much bigger city of Geelong, in his native country Australia in 1984 when he was 14 years old. It was in Geelong city that his older brother encouraged him to come to the gym with him, a decision which ultimately fueled his desire to become a professional bodybuilder after he had achieved a very impressive body physique.

Calum’s (pseudo) rivalry with his older brother, who he described as being stronger and taller than himself, challenged him to train harder and lift more weights to ultimately become the award-winning bodybuilder that he is today. This kind of rivalry is not uncommon.

HIS ROLE MODELS

In his early days as a young bodybuilder, Calum looked up to role models such as Steve Reeves, who starred in the TV series “Hercules”, and former Mr. Universe, Arnold Schwarzenegger whose body inspired him to train harder. Many have pointed to the recent resemblance between Schwarzenegger and Calum’s bodies and have faces and have postulated that the young builder will ultimately take over from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

To this effect, Calum has been dubbed “Arnold 2.0″ and seems to be trying very hard to meet the mark by doing some of the things that ultimately made his idol a household name. One of such things is acting.

CALUM'S MOVIES

As an actor, Calum Von Moger starred in his very first movie, the bodybuilding documentary film Generation Iron 2 which was released in 2017 (Netflix), Directed by Vlad Yudin. He appeared as himself alongside other young bodybuilders who are taking over the niche from the older generation of bodybuilders.

He also starred in the American comedy-drama "Bigger": The Joe Weider Story' released in 2018, where he portrayed a young Arnold Schwarzenegger, directed by George Gallo and co-starring Tyler Hoechlin and Julianne Hough.

Fast forward to 2020, Calum has become one of the most popular fitness pros to cross over from the new generation of young competitors. Now a 3 time Mr Universe winner, Calum is amongst the most sought after talent in the world. Utilizing social media to bring attention to his on screen presence, Calum has grown to over 3.2 million followers on Instagram, he has built a brand, reputation and has managed to crossover to the entertainment industry.

In 2019 he became the first bodybuilder to land a modeling campaign for luxury brand Gucci for Pre Fall 2019. His bio pic ‘Calum von Moger Unbroken’ has landed on the top 2 documentary iTunes charts nationwide and is now available in over 100 Million homes via Netflix.

Calum resides in Los Angeles, CA and is managed by Edwin Mejia Jr at The Vladar Company and Generation Iron Brands. 

AWARDS

The young bodybuilder won his first-ever bodybuilding competition in 2010, and this achievement greatly increased his drive and determination to continue his chosen bodybuilding hobby which he later turned to a career.

Since that first win, Calum has won several awards and competitions to boost his resume. In 2011, he became the NABBA Junior International Champion in Melbourne and in the same year, he won the WFF Junior Mr. Universe in Baden, Australia, WFF Mr. He also won Mr. Universe in South Korea (2014) and WFF Pro Mr. Universe in France (2015), among others.

As of April 2020, Calum was reported to have a net worth of about $2 million to $2.5 million. Most of his earnings come from his career as an actor, YouTube content creator, and professional fitness model.

CALUM'S PRIVATE LIFE - KARINA ELLE & TAYLOR RAY

Calum is currently dating model Taylor Ray. Their relationship began in 2017 and they frequently share photos of their time together on Instagram, where they have a joint account with the name TaylorandCalum. They also share videos on YouTube.

Before Ray, Calum dated fitness model Karina Elle between 2015 and 2017 when they went their separate ways. Their breakup happened after he sustained a knee injury while climbing a cliff with his brothers. Apparently, she had said some uncomplimentary things to him that prompted him to unceremoniously put an end to the relationship.

His chest is 48 inches across (121.9 cm) while his arms and thighs measure 20 inches (50.8 cm) and 26 inches (66 cm) respectively.

You don't need weights to get fit, but they are necessary if you want to bulk up for any tough guy part in television or movies. Many extras have started from being the strong man in a crowd, especially pirate movies, then progressed to acting. Getting into the right frame of mind, is more than just pumping iron, it is a regime based on good diet, eating patterns and regenerative sleep.
